This work explores how desire takes form while simultaneously remaining hollow. Transparent inflatable structures appear tangible through their form, color, and volume, yet remain empty at their core. They exist visibly and materially, while internally resisting any sense of fulfillment or permanence.
The inflatable form functions both as a visualization of desire and as a barrier that prevents access. What seems within reach remains unattainable; what appears graspable ultimately reveals itself as void. Suspended between recognition and tension, the work inhabits a state in which attraction persists despite the awareness of emptiness.

Born in South Korea, Hwansuk Cho works under the artist name CHO:V. He studied Fine Art at Seoul National University of Science and Technology in South Korea, and later studied Fine Art at the Kunstakademie Münster in Germany under Daniele Buetti. Currently based in Germany, his work explores psychological themes surrounding protection, desire, isolation, and instability through inflatable structures.
In 2025–26, he was selected as a finalist for the YICCA International Art Prize and exhibited in Venice.
