Parastoo Ahoon is a sculptor and a performance artist who lives and works in New York City. She Studied MFA at Pratt Institute 2011-2012 and graduated of MFA from Boston University 2014. The Idea of Memories is an assemblage of my new work that made with design on canvas, which not as a base for painting but using canvas with a special attention as a main material for three dimension style of form. My memories of my culture, the place I grown up and the moments I had. The memories that it’s getting far away from me and they were part of my life one day. I still want to keep some part of my memories in my private, So I ripped off part of canvas or photos, then it’s not clear to see easily.
