My technique of choice is mostly Mezzotint. Using the same plate, this technique allows for the reduction of the tones to make new images and forms after making each series of editions. In this way, the plate is automatically destroyed through the process. two of my recent works made by this process are attached as for examples.
As the main theme of my recent series is ”Life and Its Undeniable Result: Death,” this reductive process is a good reflection of the way I define life; as an artist and a human being, I consider this the most certain happening in the human life.
In the next phase, I destroy some of the editions by scratching, burning, pouring some concealing material and using other impromptu ways to further destroy them, as I believe not every artist is lucky enough to have all of his artworks preserved. The Old Desert, made by this process is attached as an example.
