/ARTIST STATEMENT
In my work i risorch for the essence in the small differences, by rediscovering nature, daily life and interpersonal exchanges.
A certain consideration in deeling with such subjects, makes me express with minimal interventions, a search of semplicity and formal harmony to create a contrast with the choice of non noble materials and wiyh the complexity of the issues addressed.
Therefore, rather than producing a brand new work I’m attracted by automatic practices and the search for processes that lead to objects, sense, a place, starting from an interest in collecting materials both tangible and unaware that refer to people, to fragments of everyday life, to natural elements. Considering important relationships in general the concept of authorship tends to expand, bringing my position more ‘close to that of mediator, trasformibg a simple process of making into a choral product.
/ CONCEPT OPERA IN CONCORSO
While waiting for something to change I’m having fun, 2011
60 backing sheets, installation variable
A research that starts from daily life to grasp some important aspects such as the domestic dimension, the care of our selves and others through small gestures, such as the practice of cooking. This of work is also a first step towards a research of expression of a light and minimal sign visually recalling an opening on a private world made of traces, waiting and randomness. I have found an interest to give a new meaning to some abstract shapes (circle, square, triangle, swirl, spiral, rectangle) which I gain knoledge of throgh sweets recipes, gathered from the journals of the multicultural tradition of my family.
/1’ OPERA A SUPPORTO
Till the end of the world, 2011
5 used backing papers, pins, wodden frames of different measure, plexiglass
In Till the end of the world I left my mother the role to repeat the same cake more times and to hold on to the backing papers used for the cakes. I selected 5 of them which placed horizontally one after the other will give the idea of the various stages of an eclipse. This change in roles far from shifting the focus off the artist offers like this an encounter between man/world by sharing a feeling beyond the powers of ordinary things.
