I like to paint out of doors from life. I usually incorporate conceptual themes with shapes and compositional formats. No photos were used when creating these attached works. Many pieces are sculptural or can go from a painting to a sculpture-EX -Lighthouse DiptychAnnamarie Trombetta is an artist who has created works in oil, watercolor, printmaking and pastel and is known for working “en Plein Air”. She attended numerous schools such as Parsons School of Design, The New York Academy of Art, The National Academy of Art, The Art Students League ,The W.B. Yeats School in Sligo, Ireland and The Ercole Alber DeFois in Vihers France . Her one woman solo exhibitions include Richmondtown Historic Museum, The Staten Island Museum, The Garibali-Meucci Museum and Wagner College Art Gallery. She has exhibited extensively in many Museum Group exhibitions such as The Godwin-Ternbach Museum, The Arnot Museum, The Ormond Museum,The Fort Wayne Museum of Art and the Packwood Museum. Annamarie Trombetta is also the recipient of several awards, fellowships and grants which include being a four time recipient of The Council of Arts and Humanities of Staten Island Grant for En Plein Air Painting, the Pollack-Krasner Award, The Richmond County Savings Grant, The Gottlieb Foundation Grant, The Artist’ Fellowship ,The Stephen Sprouse Award, The Valerie Delacorte Award, The Haven Foundation and numerous others. Her biography is listed in Who’s Who in American Art. Who’s Who in American Women, The World’s Who’s Who of Women. Ms. Trombetta has received an Artist’s Profile write up in several publications which include Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine, The Pastel-A-Gram, The Art Times The Staten Island Advance Newspaper, The Italian Tribune, The New York Magazine.com-On-line by Wendy Goodman, DNAinfo.com, and numerous others.Annamarie Trombetta was born in Brooklyn, New York and works and lives in Manhattan.
