I’m Bart Wijsman (1987, The Netherlands). After having studied Media & Culture and Philosophy at the University of Amsterdam, I now live in Brussels, where I study Audiovisual Arts at Sint-Lukas University College of Art and Design. I write, film and take pictures.
In my photographic work I try not to let my mind get in the way of things and just be receptive and open to what the world around is offering me. Shooting on film, each photo becomes a leap into the present moment, a physical encounter with the light and fullness of my environment. It’s about finding things I wasn’t looking for.
