”Depict” is conceived like an Orihon: it unfolds like a book and must be mounted directly on the wall, which allows to adapt it to the space.
“Depict” unfolds a portraits series, either faces or figures. Building on my previous works with unwoven canvas, it evokes invisibility, as its particular form unveils as much as it hides.
A former collaborator of Jaume Plensa, Ludivine Allegue’s work has been seen at international venues such as Musée National des Arts et Métiers (Paris, France), Museum CAV La Neomudéjar (Madrid, Spain), Arnolfini (Bristol, UK), Arches (Glasgow, UK), Talmart Gallery (Paris, France), Nitra National Gallery (Slovakia), Avignon/New York Film Festival (New York)…
Also a screenwriter, she received a talent Grant from the ECAM, one of the top International Film Schools according to the Hollywood Reporter in 2020. Her first fiction project received a special mention on the Filmarket Hub (Madrid Online Pitch 21).
A member of AVAM (Artistas Visuales Asociados de Madrid) and VEGAP, she is co-managing Le B^timent, the studio she co-founded in Madrid in 2019 (@le.batiment.studio)
