Descrizione Opera / Biografia

Stone Signs, Norge and Norge Lights…
These works are part of my development of
’process painting of intuitive power’, in which fresco limestone lime is
provided in slow processes with mostly ’blasted paint jobs’ in fine layers.
These layers make it possible for paint jobs,
which are no longer working on their own, to enable diverse layers of the
finest pigment layers to overlay each other and to visualize the subtle
structure of the limestone lime. Here is the classic form of brushing and / or
the beds and / or worked with friction by the palms or a dry brush.
Ultimately, this work with the subtle color
applications based on the need to get as close as possible to the pours of the
structure and pigment and the knowledge of the classic layer painting in oil,
in the lower layers of paint up to the top color layers come to fruition.
An INTONACO layer (a mixture of limestone and
marble flour in its own mixing ratio) is ’petrified’ at the beginning of the
painting process (Norge and Norgelichter) or in several layers (stone marks,
delicate fossils) on the canvas or paper.
The entire process is its own
development, in which the ethics, ie the high energy of the fresco lime, is
considered and synthetic is used very little.
An expression of transformation,
morphology in painting, birth and death – the intuitive process painting of
Gabriele Musebrink reflects natural life processes and scents out in the
process of painting the different kinds of material to be deployed as well as
the technique. Gabriele loves natural materials that have a life of their
own.
For more than 30 years Gabriele Musebrink has developed her very distinct
style and artistic expression, grounded in informal art and yet transcending
it. Transformation is her  artistic topic
in the paintings and the process of transformation itself becomes part of the
process of painting.
