Artwork description:
Artwork of geometric character that explores the expressive qualities of cubism from a spiritual concept. Inspired by the shapes of nature, reinterpreting a masterpiece such as Rembrandt’s ”The Night Watch”
Biography:
Edgar Enrique Ortega was born in Coloncito, Venezuela. He completed his high school diploma at the Industrial Technical School of San Cristóbal, graduating in Civil Construction. Then in 1979 he entered the School of Visual Arts and graduated in 1983 in Pure Art, Mention: Drawing and Painting.
He is an announcer of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Certificate N 16538 of the M.T.C and has also done a Distance Illustration Drawing Course, at the Miami Modern School, Florida, USA and a Course of conservation and restoration of artworks
His artworks are in prestigious private collections in Europe and the United States of America; and also, it is represented in mural works of an urban nature, in different regions of his native country.
 
Currently, his work is exhibited at the Biennial of Art 2017-18 of M.A.D Gallery Milano and at the Venezia Art Expo Exhibition of Nations 2018 in Italy, representing Venezuela.
