This painting was inspired by a walk through the French suburbs to my current residency at CAMAC. After the train had been delayed, and no bus services, I had to walk in the dark for over an hour with a broken flashlight in one hand and a wine bottle in the other. It had been a long time since being frightened by the dark, and this represents the sounds I heard and the state of being between reality and the imagination.
