GARDENS
This project was seen in small buildings or huts, that parcelistes, gardeners of farmers who cultivate gardens of Lower Llobregat near to Barcelona, made whit his own hands and so rudimentary.
Each small buildings surveys, has the distinction of being made from recycled materials. A kind of habitat for survival.
This, mixed ephemeral architecture and Art Brut is what caught my attention. In addition there are many and are all different. In this sense approach to my work, as I work whit things or people of humble origin and the repetition and accumulation.
But some small interest me much spomtaneous creativity findings appearing here and there to solve small problems buildings whit only engyn own.
I selected and photographed hundreds of cabins or huts, as I call them farmers and related work of artists of contemporary art, because of this similarity, establishing a set of references.From the look of the artist, art is everywhere.
This work that combines different ideas:
Landscape, agriculture, architecture, art and sociology is to establish a set of similarities to induce viewers to see different content evels in photographs. Of course one can only see a landscape, a reference to the history of art, a sample of human activity or a witness to a social reality.
I also want to emphasize the spirit of the farmer to do a build and design the landscape.
The project consist of 100 photos portraits of peasants and some details of the environement. No but the spirit of the artist and documentary aims to highlight the beauty of the land they farm.
