Premio Combat Prize

My meditation now is focused on the interlacements between history, collective and private memory
and the function of photographic representation.
This ongoing photographic work is about the private memory that objects and places bring with them. I’m focusing especially on doilies and how they stand for years underneath vases, heirlooms and plants while time passes above.
Recently my grandmother, after my grandfather’s death, decided to leave the country house where she has been living for 50 years to go in a hospice. The house now is not lived but opened everyday by my dad and my uncle, in a ritual suspended in time.
