Mark Mason was born in 1965 in the Detroit area of Michigan and currently lives in South Florida. His work has been featured in various publications, exhibitions and has achieved a number of awards.
Picking up the camera at an early age, and being from the ‘Motor City’ he naturally became a specialist in automotive photography.
After completing his photographic training Mark went on to work for the top car studios and learned from some of the industry’s pioneers. He moved to Milan in 1994 and later to London, experiences that have given him a great awareness for design. It is this background and experience that he brings to all of his projects. He has always been interested in the fine art area of photography and has been dedicating more time for his fine art work.
Artist Statement
The aim is to express nature in my photographs. Be it a place in time, people, inanimate objects or an abstraction. The purpose is to realize a connection that re-minds us of our essential self. I take photographs to see what is already there.
