Premio Combat Prize

Iryna Hinkel was born 1969 in Iwano Frankiwsk, a town in West Ukrain. Her native country, its culture and folklore had great and lasting impact on her aesthetic perception and formed her artistic expression.
Since 1992 she began her artistic career in Germany as an autodidact.
In her Images – oil on canvas – there are again and again found impressions from her homeland. Here and there folkloristic elements and figurations determine her distinctive artistic style.
The art of Iryna Hinkel is inspired by the poetic dimension of every single moment. In every picture she brings on to the canvas the Good that she feels in the world.
