Title: Opening

I did a short performance with my Ceramic Sculptures and friends who live in Korea for the Opening show of the Erasmus exhibition. The title ’Opening’ means that I opened the Erasmus Exhibition. Furthermore, it means that I opened a new way, a new possibility; on how to combine arts. I would like to suggest to people that a lot of genre of the arts can meet at one point. I joined Ceramic and music, video and sounds; together. Finally I would like to show on how much we are loved by people around us through my dear friends thankful performance.
Staying here in Poland, I understood the dearness of my friends. Although I have made many fabulous friends here in Poland, I miss my friends who live in Korea. Especially, the friends whom I met in my Orchestra. I really miss them and I miss the harmony that we used to make together. My art work started with this longingness. I made their instrument with ceramic and put our sound on the ceramic. I asked them to record a video without my part, and then I arranged it with them here.
I met so many people who think about art as a very narrow term. As to them there is no connect with dance and visual art, or music and visual art. Even though we can see full of combination arts at concerts like orchestra concerts or ballet performances, it is hard for some people to recognize it. During ballet performance “Swan lake”, Seeing visual art through stage art and stage clothes, at the same time listening to music through the orchestra’s playing is one of examples. Arts are not individual things. They are connected to each other very naturally. I wish to introduce new ways of joining different genres of arts to people who have narrow views.
All the work I’ve done so far are works that I could not do alone, especially this one; There are so many hands that helped me for so many things that I’ve done. My parents who are always my best mentors, my friends from Korea who made this harmony only for me, a friend of mine from Spain who took a video for me and so many other numerous friends and advisers whom I can’t even count. Also I want to thank my professors who always shows me the many ways I can take. And Curator who helps me to do my performance at the proper moment. I want to thank everybody and each one for the love they have shown and the support that they have gave. Thank you. And please keep in mind one thing before watching the video. We are not students who are studying music professionally, but we ones who really enjoy music. Thank you all and ’Enjoy the performance!’
