Premio Combat Prize

Suhrke/Skevik is a Norwegian artist duo consisting of Ellen Henriette Suhrke (1984) and Hilde Skevik (1984). The duo makes photographs, videos and do live performances where the interaction between the two plays a vital role.
’Transactions # 3’ is the third and last in a series of video works that Suhrke/Skevik developed over a two-year period. Here the duo is seen as they navigate each other through changing landscapes by means of a long rope which they are both bonded onto. The rope acts as a guiding principle, but also as an obstacle as the characters encounter different barriers. The rope keeps them on total course through the changing scenery, varying from open fields to partially impassable footpaths.
