Descrizione Opera / Biografia
If clock’s mechanism is a heart of a clock, then my work is creating clock’s body. Allegorical clocks named Angeline clocks are Allegories of magnificant, fatal women can overcome time, as Rea defeated Cronos.
Matej Zorec born in Ljubljana, year 1969. He graduated in University of Ljubljana — Faculty of arhitecture year 1999. Since year 2000 work as independent creator in his own studio. In year 2007 he get Brumen’s award (national design award) for excellence in design. He independently set on exhibition BIO21 (international bienale of industrial design). In year 2009 his brand Angeline clocks wear has been proclamated. World live premiere of Angelines was in Saalbau Rhypark, Basel Switzerland in June 2012 at ArtBasel. In June 2013 was Honorable Mentioned by the Jury of International Art Festival Commitee from New York. At the same time he attended the Contemporary Art festival Art Cloud #3 in Florence’s Via Larga Gallery.
