Premio Combat Prize

The original photographs comes from 3 photo albums that my grandfather develped during the World War 2, passed on to me by my mother. The timeframe is 1939-43, which was a part of my grandfathers youth when he was a freedom fighter and a pilot during the war.
When I received these photographs from my mother I began to look at them very closely. I was fascinated by these beautiful and old analog pictures. Some of the them were really well produced, others just a bit funny. They all made me wonder about the story behind them. The more I looked at them, the more interesting they became to me. I began to combine the photographs in a lot of new ways, trying all sorts of combinations, and in that process I created whole new stories from the old stories.I found similaryties.
