Premio Combat Prize

Stump Life is an organic-psychedelic representation.These fantasy fungi, make-believe mould and mildew, that survive in the cracks left, are gestures of nature’s victory. While they employ decay and exploit death, beauty thrives. Painted in pours and overlapping layers of materials, this recent body of work explores what is real verses dream, and familiar verses alien.
