Fernando Colón-González was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He earns a Bachelor in Fine Arts from Escuela de Artes Plásticas in San Juan. The artist relocated to New York City in 1992. He has exhibited in several venues in New York such as The Drawing Center, Howard Scott Gallery, Marta Cervera Gallery, Philippe Briet Gallery and Nina Freudenheim Gallery, also in Larry Becker contemporary art, in Pennsylvania, Stop Art in San José, CA, Silvana Facchini Gallery, Miami, FL, Chicago and Miami art fairs, Galería Jacob Karpio, San José, Costa Rica. Galería GUAM, México City, His work was included in the exhibition Le Temps d’un Dessin, A presentation of the drawing in the USA at Ecole de Beaux Arts de Lorient, Lorient, France, curated by Philippe Briet, and also have participated in exhibitions curated by Alan Jones. His interest on abstract art go back to his early years in art school and it has being his main pictorial aesthetic.
