Descrizione Opera / Biografia
NEON FESTUNG - portrait or the scene which contains an image of the girl. A visual mash up based on motives connected to that person - city where she lives. In general I never put random motives together. I usually compose elements that are somehow associated with each other. The theme related to the character is enriched with vivid abstract elements. With these narrow stripes I wanted to bring an intensive visual vibration of colors and disturb the perception of space on the painting. For me personally the work is a recreation of the specific atmosphere of underground electronic music events taking place in depicted city theme. In this painting I was trying to bring the specific ”vibe” and energy of the urban environment and its local community.

The artist bases on the characteristic forms and structures observed in urbanized and industrialized areas which are often forgotten. He draws a specific aesthetic from them - dust coatings, traces of streaks and scratches, reflections of night lights and neon lights afterimages. This subject is mainly studied in the series of paintings ”Festung Demenz”, from where the artist took his nickname.
