Fire season brought memories with it memories from the previous year. The sky turned orange over the San Francisco Bay Area. It was an eerie, magnificent, and unholy sight. This September saw my husband in the hospital having his pancreas surgically reattached to his small intestine for the second time. Each year seems to bring a little more pain.
