The model of this portrait is Hisako, my wife. She has been a model for many paintings since we got married; in the early days for a nude figurative painting and most recently a portrait. This painting shows some vigor. I completed this painting in 2019. I look forward to see what comes out in my next painting of Hisako.
Biography; graduated from California College of Arts & Crafts with B. F. A. degree, Oakland, California USA in 1982, received invitation and a scholarship from Atelierhaus Worpswede of Germany in 1988, received an invitation and participated in the International Artists Meetings and Shows ’Open Art 2007’ at Rue Malmaison and Villepinte with a scholarship from Japan International Cultural Exchange Foundation.
Awards; Certificate of Excellence of Palm Art Award in 2009, Special Painting Award of Palm Art Award in 2019, Certificate of Excellence of Palm Art Award in 2020, Leipzig in Germany.
