Artwork description:
This installation consists of two mannequins standing together. It depicts the complicated relationship between two women, their internal struggles and hidden desires. Each mannequin looks different, and the clash between patterns and colours tells a story of two women, with different beauty ideas and different personalities. One of them has blue hues and organic colours, which relate to her having a more melancholic disposition. The latter has striking, fluorescent colours, signifying a fire within and a need to express herself freely, also sexually. Despite their differences, there is a relation between them, and it is a referral to the movie ”Call Me By Your Name”, but with women.
