The dramatic condition of a modern woman
In purely painterly terms, the motive here is the obvious contrast of the juxtaposition of a slippery body and the dull brown matter of water - but there is e gentle of hope - (water) as an eternal symbol of the spirit. Another painter’s problem is also posed here: wet and dry, which can be understood here as saturation with liquid or as ”soaking” with the decay of the hierarchy of values of the modern world,
Jacek Sztuka. Studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracovv (1996 2001) in the Department of Painting, in the studio of Professor Jacek Waltoś and in the drawing studio of Professor Teresa Kotkowska-Rzepecka. Scholarship at Akademie der Bildende Künste in Nuremberg in the painting studio of Professor Johannes Grützke in 1999/2000. Diploma cum laude in the studio of Professor Stanisław Rodziński in 2001, Since 2012 associate professor in the Department of Management of Częstochowa University of Technology, Doctorate at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in 2006, Postdoctoral degree in 2012. Member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers, BVBK, AA . Jacek Sztuka’s works are to be found in Polish museums and private art collections in Poland and abroad. The artist took part in 120 collective exhibitions in Poland and abroad.
