We humans of today have entered the moon and disenchanted
In a world in which almost everything seems to be known, researched and feasible
the metaphor “The back of the moon” stands for the unknown. It has the fascination of still being able to set out, to discover something, to give space to the imagination. Since primeval times, the cosmos, the starry sky, the sun and especially the moon, as the closest celestial body to our earth, have occupied the explorers’ urge and the imagination of mankind. The changing light appearances of this earth satellite and its surface so similar to the earth with landscapes, craters and furrows have always stimulated the imagination of mankind, but is also considered a metaphor for that which cannot be seen, cannot be grasped and cannot be grasped with the mind.
