Mikhail Gubin was born in the Soviet Union and studied at the Art and Technology College in Zagorsk, near Moscow, before moving to New York in 1989. His multimedia practice includes photography, drawings, painting, collage, sculpture, installation, and video.
Gubin has participated in 33 solo exhibitions and over 200 group shows both in the United States and Internationally. He has being awarded a 2014 NYFA Fellowship in the category of Crafts/Sculpture. Gubin is a member of the Audubon Artists and Sculptors Guild.
