Artwork description / Biography
In my oil paintings, I represent the human body. I try to show their weakness and at the same time their strength. I represent the different tones and shades in human lives. I paint the skin with their marks and memories were the color is the main character.
Part of my process is watching and appreciating the ancients human sculptures at the
“Musée du Louvre”. They inspire me to create these paintings about the human body. I take them out of the museum and give the bodies other textures, skin and colors on a canvas.
Showing the body in its nudity, I want to express honesty and frankness, showing our nature as it is. My objective is to represent the human being as naked in feelings and vulnerable to being discovered. I want the audience to be able to identify with him.
