Divertissement is part of the series ‘Baroque Constraints’.The series is inspired by French opera. The term ‘divertissement’ is commonly used to define a dance piece performed between the acts of an opera or at the close of a stage performance.In this case the dance is a bizarre paradox; Men / jugglers in garter lift antique furniture instead of weights.This is the pretext! Much of my artistic production is developed as ‘acts’ with the purpose of recounting and archiving the evolution of the works through their many different versions and releases.The whole series ”Baroque Constraints” will feed into an installation.
