Descrizione Opera / Biografia

This painting, as the rest shown, is focused on a singular event: the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Nevertheless, this is only a starting point. Almost all historical and political references are, somehow, erased in order to concentrate on particular aspects of the whole. This gives rise to a continuous metamorphosis between fact and construction, a grid of fragmented stories based on collective and individual experiences set in a new environment, which has become, completely, a Marc Augé non-place.
In this new setting, we can appreciate the scenography in which power is exerted and on whom it is currently exerted, by whom, we do not know. The female character of the composition, alien to her surroundings, executes her duty like an automaton and almost invisibly behind a congress desk sign.
Fine Arts, Complutense University Madrid (on going). Degree in Law .
