Artwork description / Biography
This work issues besides the technical questions of painting subject matter of creating a narrative. All that is not happening now is to re-play and to interpret as a story. There is no singular and correct truth. Truth disappears with the event to the past or is still coming together in the future. I want to introduce this plurality outside the event in my work.
On the technical side I wanted to paint on wood. Wood has character. As living material there may be unexpected changes over time. I am matching various materials and properties: stiffness and heaviness of wood, flexibility and coverage of paint, lightness of pencil.
