Descrizione Opera / Biografia

I paint in acrylic and experiment with mixed media techniques. I often work with overpainting, application, and ablation of strong colors. My paintings are abstract and informal compositions and chance and intuition becomes the impulse generator. Sometimes I’m reacting unconsciously like a seismograph to what happens around me and at events oft he day.
The title ”KALT-FRONT” (COLD-FRONT) has a double connotation: 1. superficial interpretation within a meteorological context 2. in a transmitted sense cold, hardened fronts in a political context, in a world which becomes more and more uncontrollable.
The first layer of the painting was acrylic, then I worked as well with mixed media technics of gloss paints, liquid bitumen, ink, pigments, stain, spirit and turpentine.
”KALT-FRONT” was selected from the jury to be exposed at the prestigious Salon d’Automne in Paris (October 2017)
I started painting at the end of 2014 and attended classes with the german painter Bernard Lokai (masterclass student of worldwide known Gerhard Richter). In the meantime I exhibited in Germany, Belgium, France, Spain and this year also for the first time in the United States of America.
I studied history of art and theory of drama and graduated as an interior designer. For many years I worked as a theatre dramaturge and a radioplay editor for the german public broadcast radio ARD . l live in Germany near Cologne and in the North of France.
